RICETTE IN RESINA NATURALE

La mostra è il risultato di un workshop coordinato da Carmine Deganello tenutosi al FabLab di Amsterdam. Essa raccoglie il lavoro di un gruppo di designers olandesi realizzato utilizzando una resina naturale sviluppata da Carmine Deganello in collaborazione con il modellista Antonio Luchinelli. L’obbiettivo di questa collezione dimultipli è quello di coniugare la valorizzazione della manualità dei singoli con la sperimentazione di nuovi materiali.

Carmine Deganello (1974, Italia) si laurea all’I.S.I.A di Firenze nel 2002. Attualmente lavora tra Amsterdam e Milano come product e interior designer. Il suo approccio fortemente empirico e processuale parte da una ricerca sperimentale sulla materia. Il lavoro sui materiali e la riflessione sul come questa pratica animi il processo creativo sono una caratteristica del suo metodo. I suoi progetti sono stati esposti, tra gli altri, alla Triennale di Milano all’interno della mostra The New Italian Design e al Mak Museum di Vienna.

This exhibition represents the outcome of a workshop run by Carmine Deganello that took place at the Amsterdam FabLab in January 2013. It displays the work of a selection of designers based in the Netherlands who created their limited-edition pieces with the natural resin realized by Carmine Deganello in collaboration with model-maker Antonio Luchinelli. The aim of the project is to promote the use of new experimental materials.

Carmine Deganello (b. 1974, Italy) received his design degree from Florence’s ISIA in 2002. Based in Amsterdam and Milan, Carmine works as product and architectural designer. His empirical, highly experimental approach takes materiality and the creative process as its starting point and focus. Research on materials and the ways in which this can unexpectedly drive the productive process is always a crucial aspect of his work. Carmine’s projects have been presented, among others, at the Triennale Design Museum as part of the New Italian Design show and at the MAK Museum for applied and contemporary art in Vienna.
